Pachube Posts... Real life sensors

Must say, picking a post to work on from the Pachube website, was a bit hard for me. At first I was intrigued to find something about music - and went on to look at a sensor from a playground that plays a tune each time someone is sitting on one of the facilities inside. It was "frozen" of course, like many other posts I checked, searching for sound / movement etc. Then went on looking for cities. London ? NYC ? outside temperature measured
on my balcony using an HMS100T temperature sensor

inside temperature measured using an FHT80b sensor

light is measured using a temperature sensor unit but having the NTC exchanged by a LDR

all sensors are kind of based on the FS20 system

FHEM software is collecting and posting the data using an busware.de CC1101-USB-Lite device on an ALIX3C.3 mainboard

So.. I have absolutely no idea what these initials mean - but I probably will by the end of this assignment - right ?
